UK Table Tennis, the UK Garlando sole agent for home football tables, is helping the BBCs DIY SOS programme in transforming a dilapidated youth centre for Children in Need. The company said they were delighted to be asked to help and have donated a Garlando G-500 football table, plus a Cornilleau Competition 540 table tennis table (the other represented brand).Their logistics partner, Avanti Express, also offered their support by delivering and assembling the tables on site. The project will be presented on 11th November during the BBC DIY SOS programme and will be centered on completely refurbishing the Liverpool Norris Green Youth Centre, located in one of the most deprived areas of the city. The center focuses on creating better life opportunities for the area young people, by improving their competences and skills and especially by boasting their confidence and increasing positive attitudes. Sport and fitness are important means of doing that and the Centre leisure room will greatly benefit from having new equipment to replace the old and worn out one.
