One more glory day for the extralarge football table by Garlando, the Balillone, already a protagonist of several summer events in the past years. The longest football table in the world (its name means big football table) - over 7 meters against one meter and half of a standard table - has housed a special match with an exceptional player, the football champion Luca Toni. The event took place in Munich during the FR.E.E, the main German exhibition for tourism, in late February - early March. As an endorser for the Emilia Romagna Region, Luca Toni, striker for the Italian National football team and the Bayern Münich, contribuited to promote the Region beaches, art cities, thermal baths, wildlife, food and wine. The exhibition central attraction was represented by the match on the Balillone. Together with 10 team players Luca Toni fought against 11 competitors selected among people winning a contest - led by Tonis impersonator, German actor Matze Knop. The match, won by Tonis team, with 12 goals scored against 8, was broadcast by several German televisions. The Balillone on which Toni played is the heir of the first extralarge football table constructed by Garlando in the late 1970s, following a project by the Italian artist Maurizio Cattelan. The old Balillone by Cattelan is now shown at the London Tate Gallery .
